
Jessica Ann Simpson Johnson, born on July 10, 1980 is an American actor, singer an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. After singing in churches as a kid, Simpson signed with Columbia Records in 1997, at the age of seventeen. Sweet Kisses (1999), her debut album, was sold two million copies in America. The single "I I Want To Love You Forever" was a huge commercial success. Simpson adopted a more mature image for her second album, Irresistible (2001), and its title track became her second highest-rated entry on the Billboard Hot 100, while the album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This Skin (2003) was Simpson's third studio album. It sold 3 million copies in the United States. In the beginning of her career, Simpson became known for her romance with and later wedding to Nick Lachey and Nick Lachey, with whom she also appeared on the MTV reality television series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica between 2003 and 2005. Simpson's first Christmas album ReJoyce was released in 2004, and was certified gold. She made her debut in the film The Dukes of Hazzard (2005) as Daisy Duke. In the soundtrack to the film, she also sang the cover version of "These Boots Are Made for Walking" Simpson released her fifth album, A Public Affair, in 2006 and was featured in the romantic comedy film Employee of the month. Following the release of her sixth studio album Do You Know (2008), Simpson moved into the genre of country. Simpson also released The Jessica Simpson Collection, which is a line of clothing that features 34 categories of merchandise. Since its launch, the brand has earned over one billion dollars in sales and is the biggest-selling celebrity licensing brand in history. In 2010, she played in the reality series The Price of Beauty. She also acted as a judge for fashions during Fashion Star's two seasons from 2012 and 2013. Simpson is married to Eric Johnson, with whom she has three children.
